Aluminum bronze uses aluminum as main alloy additive. It reaches strength comparable to some steel grades while keeping copper’s corrosion resistance, and also has excellent anti‑abrasion performance.

This alloy resists erosion from fast‑flowing seawater and abrasive particles. It is widely used for propeller hubs, pump impellers, heavy‑duty gears and landing gear components.

Aluminum bronze also has good anti‑galling property. When sliding against steel under heavy pressure, it is less likely to seize or weld to the mating metal surface.
