Phosphor bronze is tin bronze alloyed with phosphorus. Phosphorus acts as deoxidizer and greatly improves wear resistance, fatigue resistance and corrosion resistance of the final material.

It is a classic choice for small springs, gear teeth, sliding bearings and bushing parts. Even under continuous friction load, phosphor bronze generates little wear debris and maintains low friction coefficient without lubrication in many cases.

Good ductility allows stamping thin phosphor bronze strips for connector terminals. Many sensor and electronic component designers select it thanks to stable elastic performance and resistance to metal fatigue.

We offer phosphor bronze sheets, strips, rods and wires with different hardness levels. Hard temper material is for springs while soft temper is prepared for deep drawing and complex forming processes.
